BMD Index COMPLETED THANK YOU
« on: Monday 23 June 08 20:34 BST (UK) »
Hi

Does anyone know how I can search for the other partner by putting in the District, volume and page number of the other found in the BMD Indexes. I am using the full index on Ancestry. I have found a record for Harry Crowther Ward but all I know from the census that his wife was called Agnes.

Hi Evie,
Yes, I had the same idea as Tati - were they married in the Rotherham area, in 1901?

OK, just seen the marriage. In FreeBMD, you just need to click on the page to see the possible spouses. In this case, the only Agnes on the same page is Agnes King  :)

Hi,
In my family history, Harry left on the Liner Parthia in 1953 (when I was born) to see his brother aged 73 and sister aged 70 - at that point the story inmy family goes cold but I have moe material that Ican scan and share with you if it helps - the ships manifests were destroyed long ago

Richard Bothroyd - New Barnet Herts (originally from Shipley as are all my family

Hi Richard

Thank you for your very kind offer and welcome to Rootschat :)

Can you tell me who his brother and sister are please as I have no brother for him. The parents of my Harry Crowther Ward were James Ward and Mary Elizabeth Crowther - I hope, at least that is what I have unless I am mistaken.

I am sorry but after checking - I misled you - Mr Ward emigrated to America in the early 1900s and returned briefly to the UK in 1953 on the ship mentioned. he met my maternal grandmother, Olive Pollard and she later destroyed all her letters regarding him. When I met my grandmother after graduating from university in 1975, she mentioned him and that she had more important information for me but she diedfive days later and my family history went cold until my mother and her sister began researching again a few weeks ago.  I am at work now and do not have access to a scanner but I will update you shortly with what I have

or you can respond via this site - which I only discovered this morning!!!

Richard
