Swains of Rochdale
« on: Monday 07 July 08 09:50 BST (UK) »
Hi

Am looking for some information that was in the 'Swain' bible.
In particular a family of three boys.....

Arthur Henry b. 1876 Rochdale m. 1900 (Sarah Ellen Howarth) d 1934

Edgar b 1885 d 1961 Rochdale....m Minnie Griffiths had two sons...... Edgar 1913 - 1995 (Bishop Storford), Living 1915

Ernest c.1896

I was told that Eddie's family had the bible??
Would appreciate any help, tracing it...... or the family...

Thanks

Tracy

The 1881 census (free to search at www.familysearch.org) shows Arthur was the son of Elijah Swain a draper b 1854 Rochdale and Martha A Swain a milliner b 1854 Rochdale

In 1891 - they had one additional son - Edgar who was aged 5 and b Rochdale

In 1901 there was also Ernest aged 5 b Rochdale
