Hi DDJake

I have found your connection to Bryce Blair interesting as he may be in my linear line. His John Blair may be the John Blair who have established is my GGG grandfather. Have you any further information about John and Bryce in this post?

I think Bryce's father may also have been Bryce.

Regards

Hi redrambler,
Welcome to rootschat !
As you see in my post, my Blairs disappear into the DENOVAN lines, and Janet Blair is the only one of that family with your John Blair in it that I followed forward to the present day. The present day Denovans are 2nd Cousins of mine in the UK .... the female members of which have taken other names after marriage. Bryce Blair is their 4th and 5th Great Grandfather, respectively.
Cheers

Hi DDJake

Thank you for your welcome.

The John Blair I have linked to me was born 1753 or 4 and died on the 11th January 1820.
He was ordained on the 19 April 1780 and became minister at Colmonell, Ayrshire from 1780 until 1820.

Two of his sons - 1 John Blair became minister at Drymen and 2 James who became minister at Warkworth.

I have yet to find the birth entry or christening entry for John Blair 1753 or 4. The link to Bryce may be coincidental.

Regards
