Hi Dean, unfortunately I do not have any other details.  The family I am researching is Wharton, there is an Ethel in the family, but her father's name is James not Fred.  I omitted to put her father's name down when I ordered the certificate.  I have heaps of Whartons in my tree, there could be a connection somewhere.  Let me know if you have anything else on the Wharton's that may connect.  Cheers Pat

Hi Jan,  the Whartons I have were from Middlesbrough, and before that Barnard Castle.  No one that I am aware of from Kirby Stephens.  Pat

i have a very extensive history of the Wharton's from
Norham . but unfortunately don't know my English Geo. enough to know where it is in relation to middlesbourough or Barnard castle,.
i often see Barnard Castle in my reseach . i have notes here from several lines of Wharton's if you want me to look for names for you.
eg. Oliver s/o George and Mary Wharton 1796-1883.
in 1801 family moved to Barnard castle.
Many names from there .Maybe i can help. Jan

Hi Jan, I have a George 1796 but his wife was ruth Harker, children were
Jonathon 1829, Thomas 1830, George 1833, James 1835m Hannah 1838, Elizabeth 1840, Thomas 1845.  Sibs of George were Rachel 1794 and John 1799 and Parents, Jonathon 1776 and Hannah 1776. all from Barnard Castle.
