Please can you help me find my Rees Family through the census returns?

Also, and if possible, please could you follow any of David and Margaret’s children to see where and what they get up to, and who Elizabeth Johnson's husband is? (except for *Mary)

Here’s hoping and many thanks, Jed

Carmarthenshire Pauper / Poor Registers

Just because Margaret is described as Pauper in the Census does not mean she was on Parish Relief, ~ Far from it.
If she is receiving Parish Relief then it will be at Bridell Pembroke. To have been on Parish Relief in Carmarthenshire she must reside in a Carmarthen Parish i.e., Llanboidy.
Also given a chance the Bridell Overseer and Poor Board would have had her returned to Llanboidy so that she was not a drain on Bridell Poor Relief.
Given that I am 99% sure this family is Chapel, non-conformist Chapel’s communities had a good record of looking after or assisting their own during the 19th century.

Please can anyone find Margaret Rees on the 1851 & 1861 married to DANIEL REES
« Reply #8 on: Saturday 01 October 11 10:40 BST (UK) »
Firstly thank you Orielbenfro, for your info' and terrific explanation.

Also the enumerator would have to list Margaret as some thing too, and they didn't always get it right.   I remember too following one of my forebears 'way back', it was a long time ago, and in the days of popping over to the Church to see their registers, what the Church did then for the locals parishioners was terrific really.

Please may I also as if anyone could please find Margaret Rees on the 1851 & 1861 married to DANIEL REES b c1806 Manerdivy?

I think the 1841 should read as Daniel Rees rather than David.

Many thanks again.
Jed
