would they appear in censuses 1841-1901

Hi John,
As yet I haven't transcribed baptisms before 1846 or burials before 1876 but I have transcribed the marriages from 1693 onwards.

The only mention of the Downing family I can find is this marriage:

14-Feb 1726 Pelynt   Peter HAMBLY otp Sarah DOWNING of Talland After Banns

The only early records I have for Talland (neighbouring Pelynt) are the burials & there are no Downings there.
