hi, i am just new, i am trying to research where & how the 'grosvenor' came to be in my grosvenor davies name. i already have some results but am sticking a bit. all my ancesters were born in or around Bagillt/Holywell area's if there is anyone out there who also has this name  or any history about me would you please contact me ASAP.cheers

The Grosvenor family have had a long involvement with the area.  Perhaps one of your ancestors was named in tribute to them.  This link gives some background

MY MOTHER WAS MARY CATHERINE GROSVENOR DAVIES BORN IN BAGIILT IN 1905 I AM ALSO TRYING TO FIND SOME FAMILY HISTORY MAY BE ABLE TO HELP EACH OTHER,MY GRANDAD WAS
RICHARD WILIAM GROSVENOR DAVIES BORN IN HOLYWELL IN 1839

Hi my father was Robert Edward grosvenor Davies his father was  Richard grosvenor Davies of Bagillt he was born 1905 his twin sister was Mary.
