Bishops' Transcripts - marriage records
« on: Wednesday 16 July 08 23:05 BST (UK) »
I'm wondering about the marriage records in the Bishops' transcripts at FamilySearch.  If they were transcripts, why are there signatures of the relevant parties in the marriage records? ::)

The transcripts are complete written copies of the register, including the signatures, held at the church, made by the priest or one of the church officials.
