Toronto Star - look up please
« on: Thursday 17 July 08 15:36 BST (UK) »
Some time ago I took out a subscription to view old newspapers of the Toronto Star.  I was very successful in finding a lot of entries of BMDs which were very useful.  At the time I did not have the year of death for one of my ancestors and might have missed an entry.  My subscription has lapsed.

Could someone who has access to the Toronto Star look in the year 1962 for a Helen McKenzie's death notice. She died in 1962.   I am afraid I do not have the date of death.  I have her husband James' death notice in 1957.

Someone from this site kindly took a photo of the grave marker for Helen and close by was a stone for a James H. A. McKenzie born 1920 and died 1982.  I wondered if he was also an ancestor.  Would it be possible for someone to see if there is an entry in the Toronto Star under  births and deaths for the years concerned for James H. A. McKenzie.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Betty

are there any other keywords for thew search to help narrow it down - perhaps and address or other names from her husbands obituary....

Thanks for replying.

There might be Fraser, Alice or Lindfield mentioned in the 1962 entry for Helen, known as Nan.

In the death notice for James H. A. McKenzie in 1982 there could be a mention of Ann Marie.

Thanks for looking.
