photo on glass, date please?

This photo, on glass was in my Grandmother (born 1885)'s possessions.
It could be her husband, a man from a 'good' family.or her younger brother, born abt 1891, or her father born 1863, a licensed victualler in later life, but working in the mill earlier on.
Do the clothes give any hint to anyone as to the date of this photo, or possibly the frame, or the fact that it is an image on glass?
Any help would be welcome.

Hi techno...ambrotypes, photos on glass, were popular from about 1855 to about 1865, which makes them fairly easy to date.

Thank you all for the improved images. Do the clothes fit with the dates 1855-65? If so, it must be one generation further back than those which I first mentioned.

This man appears to be wearing a necktie & starched collar.Neckties didn't become popular
with the public until late 1880's.

Okay...ambrotypes didn't disappear entirely, so it could be 1880s then...but the case looks pretty 1860s.
