Hi can anyone help me find some info on Conrad Ludwig? His parents were from Germany & they were called Henry & Elizabeth? he was born about 1868 in Sunderland. He apparently changed his names to James.
Brewis, Dawson, Hepple, Mackel, Riches, Steel, Turnbull and Tibbles. Northumberland. Tilling, Ball, Dawson, Lancashire. Yule, Scotland.

Hello,

How certain are you of the surname?

I have a Conrad Mackel born in Sunderland in 1868.  His parents are Henry and Elizabeth, born in Germany.

If you think this is right let me know and I'll transcribe for you.

In 1881 Henry and Elizabeth had a Lodging House at 28 Robinsons Lane, Sunderland.

5 children still at home (Elizabeth, 17, Conrad, 12, Susannah, 9, Margaret 7 and Catherine 4).  And 22 lodgers!

1891 and 1901 harder!
