Hello again Wendy

The IGI at www.familysearch.org has baptisms at St Marylebone for the time frame you need.

The batch numbers are
C035242 1778-1790 8 baptisms
C035243 1791-1798 7 baptisms
C035244 1799-1806 11 baptisms

However there is more than 1 Bond family referred to.

Marriage registers prior to civil registration in 1837 only contain the following

Groom's name, parish at the time of marriage and marital status (bachelor, widower)
Bride's name, parish at the time of marriage and marital status (spinster, widow)
Date of marriage
By Banns or Licence
Signature of officiating minister
Signature or mark of Groom
Signature or mark of Bride
Signatures or marks of 2 witnesses

What you wont get are ages. If either party is a minor, consent must be given and shown.
Neither will you get occupations or addresses.

You won't get the names of the fathers unless they acted as a witness and signed as a witness and you recognise the name.

With the witnesses, you sometimes get a parish witness whose signature is all over the register and has nothing personally to do with the marriage party.

Could I ask what your source is for the date of the 1817 marriage?

Dawn

Hi Dawn, Sorry I haven't replied earlier but been out.  Wow what a lot of info. Thankyou very much.
I got the marriage date from family search .
It would be great if you could get to the record centres to do a bit of searching but I wouldn't want you to spend "hours " looking for me.
I have got John's baptism down to two I think either 9 Sept 1792 to John and Mary or 8 May 1796 to William and Elizabeth. They had two children John 3 June 1819 and Charles 15 Oct 1823 but did they have any more?
Thanks again for all your help. Wendy.

Hi Wendy

Hope you had a nice day out  :)

The reason for asking about the marriage date is the 'family search' have not extracted marriages from the registers for 1817, the marriage show has an odd 'I' batch number. Pallots Index shows up a marriage for 1813.

I'll check the marriage and the 2 possible baptisms to see if anymore useful info comes to light.

Unless I can find a baptism index, looking for siblings may be problematic because of the sheer numbers involved per year.

Wendy,

Sorry - didn't find any Bonds on my list, but as I mentioned, it is incomplete.

Charles
Bazalgette, but mainly not FH information.
Has written a biography of Jean Louis Bazalgette - "Prinny's Taylor"

Hi Dawn  Thanks for the reply. Thanks for looking that up for me,  It's much better to have  the offical version and not the IGI version.  Anything you find would be brilliant.  I'll look forward to hearing from you.  Wendy.
