Stuck - Pattinson
« on: Saturday 26 July 08 08:20 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am searching a tree for a colleague and although Ive done fab with one branch Im stuck with the other

Albert Pattinson wa born in 1919 and I think his Father was George Pattinson and mother Sarah Bagley. All Lincolnshire.

I cannot find anything related to George Pattinsons birth although the 1901 does state he was born in Lincoln.

Can anyone help please?

Hi KJuniper,

When was he born according to the 1901 census?  :)

Edit:
Oh wait - just had a look at the census. So Albert would have been born to parents aged nearly 60?  :-\

Marriage Jun 1901 Lincoln 7a 1313
Sarah Elizabeth Bagley - George Pattinson

I must have been looking at the wrong couple in 1901 ...  :P

Hmmm - there are at least 2 likely candidates in the correct registration district.
One at Owmby, age 25, born Saxby, son of Wm and Elizabeth. Another at Potter Hanworth, age 30 born Metheringham, son of Charles and Betsy ...

Hi Tati,

I did the same thing with the old parents! lol

George was married in 1901 - there is a George born 1881 in Metheringham, with Father Winter (i love that) and Mother Ann.

My head is spinning this morning!

So have you established for sure which one is correct?

Unfortunately not.

All I know, for sure is that Albery Pattinson was born June 1/4 1919 and his mothers maiden name was bagley. The only marriage between Bagley and Pattinson was Sarah Bagley and George Pattinson 1901.

From there back its all guesswork.
