Hi Gwen,

You may not be aware The Wiltshire 1841 census is complete and free Online. Mary Ann is in St Edmunds with her family  ;) (Parents William and Sarah.) Saw your request just after I had posted the Link  ;D

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,318079.from1217303763/topicseen.html#msg1988851

1851 she is a servant in the home of Fanny Grant 32 - staymaker employing 8 women

LENTON Mary Ann Servant 16 b Salisbury Housemaid

I don't see the rest of the family. There is no sign of the marriage of William and Sarah in Salisbury St Edmund

Cheers Kris  :D

Details for possible further sibling for MaryAnn Lenton taken from the Register of Births at the Wesleyan Chapel in the parish of Salisbury St Edmunds, Wiltshire
Eliza Lenton born 4 May 1823 & bapt 25 May 1823
Parents - William Lenton ( Baker)  &  his wife Sarah
Place of Abode - New Sarum, St Edmunds, Salisbury, Wiltshire
Grandparents - Sylvester & Sarah Green

No sign of a marriage for William & Sarah.  However there are other Lenton's being baptised at the same chapel at around the same time.  One of which may prove useful- noted as grandparents John & Elizabeth Lenton to their daughter Elizabeth  Lenton ( married Joseph Parsons) on the baptism of the Parsons children.  I wonder whether William is Elizabeth's sister? just a thought?

Hope this helps

It's been awhile since you posted, but thought you might still want the marriage between William LENTON (baker) and Sarah GREEN. I believe I found them on the Wiltshire Family History Society's marriage CD. The transcriber has taken the info wrongly, I suspect, and thought the "baker" part was Sarah's maiden name instead of William's occupation. The marriage is posted as ...
William LENTON of Salisbury St. Edmund and Sarah BAKER (abode not given) married at Salisbury Cathedral on the 12 March 1798.
Hope this helps,
Suzanne
