I can only advise you get hold of the birth cert to make sure you're not tracing a wrong line again!

So - how do you know she was registered as Agnes Lucy?

This looks like the marriage:
Sep 1904 Doncaster 9c 1219
Lucy Humphreys to possibly Benjamin Guest

Might be worth getting the marriage cert first?

The other birth registration is for a Lucy Humphries (the birth is on FreeBMD: http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/)

My problem is that the Lucy I posted is the only candidate I can see, when there should be 2 different girls showing on census ...  :-\

i am sure the spelling is humphreys and with her mother being called Agnes makes Agnes Lucy humphreys the main candidate even though the dates of birth worries me slightly my dilemma is i have a newspaper cutting stating her age as 82 the clipping is from a 1968 newspaper her married name was guest she is in the  middle lower row any ideas
