1841 look up for Stockton
« on: Tuesday 25 January 05 19:27 GMT (UK) »
Could someone please look to see if there are any Grundill/all/ell or Grindale living on Stockton High Street or there abouts. I know that George and Mary Grundill were running the Shoulder of mutton inn on the High Street up till 1838. Then George died in 1839, and I lost track of Mary.
I am also stumped on one other problem
The above George was born in Masham Yorks, died in Stockton but was buried in Hilton N Yorks. Any idea why this would be, as so far i can find no family connections to Hilton.

Thanks Karina
Grundill/Grindale/Grindall and any other variants from Cumbria, Yorkshire and Durham
Southward, Robson from Cumbria
Coldbeck from Yorkshire

I looked on 1851 census there  appears to be a public House on the end of the census pages for High St, hard to read though.uninhabited.

Will try the 1841 but might take sometime.
