where is he in 1851

Hi im looking for william wallbank born 1829 warwickshire he is on the 1861 census married to elizabeth born 1830 shropshire living in birmingham they have 3 children at this time ann who is aged 10, frederick aged 4 and mary aged 2. I can't seem to find him on the 1851 census if i could it may give me some idea of their location when they married as i can't seem to find a marriage for them anywhere.  Thankyou in advance.

According to 1861 census, they actually had 5 children then, you missed off Alfred aged 8 and Elizabeth 2 months.  Wife Elizabeth was from Shropshire, as you said, the first 4 children were born in Bilston Staffs, so perhaps that's where they married, daughter Mary was born Dudley, Worcs and Elizabeth b. Birmingham

Hi

They had 5 children in 1861 - the first 3 were b Bilston Staffs - not Warwickshire, the 4th was b Worcester and the youngest in Warwickshire

There is an 1850 marriage on freebmd with 2 possible Elizabeth's Vann and Barnett

You need a copy of one of their childrens birth certs to establish her maiden name or refer back to your post on this link which already has the information in it!

[I have several records for William Wallbank born 15th Feb 1829 at Grendon Warwickshire who died in Died 1905
He had 5 children by his first wife Elizabeth Barnet. Maria Alfred Frederick Mary and Elizabeth. By his second wife Sarah Coates he had 7 children. Walter Ellen Rose Sarah John Rose (again) William I have other records if these will be of any help to you
