I was wondering, has anyone else had their mtDNA tested? My maternal line is from Haplogroup H and has the following markers -

16519C, 00195C, 00257G, 00263G, 00309.1C, 00315.1C

This site might help:
www.mitosearch.org
With all the talk about using DNA for family research there might be other sites as well.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Froma Scottish DNA site the universityof Leiden which must be in Germany seems to be collating DNA results

I came across this because one of my nephews had the DNA test when he became interested in FH after he had requested my research.

I  think there will be a lot of surprises if we live long enough for the project to have proof positivere ancestors c 6generations ago
