Hi,
Looking for the following family in the 1871 Census, Alexander & Bridget McAllister. I have them in the 1881 Census with Bridget as a widow aged 50, There were John aged 23, Sarah 21, Maryann 17, Margaret 9, Hugh 6, and Bridgets mother  Maryann Scullion aged 76. lexander would be about 43.

IGI lists 8 children to Alexander McAllister and Bridget Scullion: John (1857), Alexander (1859), Michael (1861), Mary Ann (1863), Archibald (1866), James (1870), Margaret (1872), Hugh (1874).
See www.familysearch.org for birthdates, etc.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

1871 address Wallace St St Quivox.  All children b St Quivox

Bridget   37  b Ireland
James McAllister 7months

Pretty sure it's him especially with the Irish connection.
