Hi Ricky
That would be the correct Thomas and Sarah and I had thought they probably didin't have children but I found a niece of Sarah's Sarah Sutton was with a George Cartwright (age 51 who was born Burgh Lincoln) in 1891 so I thought there may be children after all.
I found John and Frances with parents Thomas and Sarah on IGI
There is a John christened 1843 and Frances christened Dec 1845 at Willoughby With Sloothby, Lincoln, England
I'm looking for possible deaths on Free BMD and still haven't worked out who George is
Thanks, Carmel

Thanks Ricky and Geoff  :)
Samuel Booth was husband of Sarah's sister Elizabeth.  My husband is descended from their brother William Sutton who was also born at Scopwick so I'm really appreciative of the website link.  However the family only seemed to be there for 1 generation. Their father was born at Wellingore and died in Kirton.  I only know they were in Scopwick 1804-1809 and at Kirton by 1829.

I wish I could work out who this George Cartwright is though
1891 age 51 Living at the Star & Garter 319 Hessel Rd Newington Yorkshire
Sarah's niece Sarah Hannah Sutton was a visitor there and having travelled to Yorkshire when she was in Lincolnshire in all other census records he is most likely a relative but if Sarah and Thomas had no surviving children I can't fit him into their family.

Best Wishes, Carmel

In 1871 George had the Victoria Vaults in Hull.
1861 he was a Waiter in Hull.
1851 at school in Skegness.

1841
Burgh in the Marsh
Titus CARTRIGHT 20 Baker
Ann 20
George 1

next door to

Bryan CARTWRIGHT 45 Butcher
Frances 45
Frederick 20
Edward 15
Henry 10

Titus CARTWRIGHT married Ann HOLMES at Halton Holegate 27 June 1837 (4 days before Registration started).  His father appears to have been Nathaniel CARTWRIGHT.
He then married Mary Jane TRUEBLOOD in 1846.

Thanks for this Geoff  :)  I still can't find a connection between the George Cartwright that Sarah Sutton was visiting and her uncle and aunt though.
