Those would be death certificate refs from the GRO? .
No, they will not contain any burial info. Just the cause of death, name, age, address and informant.

How do I find where these two people are buried,

Hi Peter - there's no simple answer to this.

First, you're assuming they were buried - cremation was legal long before 1927, so that is always a possibility.

Second, people may be buried in the area they were living at the time they died, or not. They may be buried in the area they died (eg while away from home) or in some area with a connection - perhaps where parents/spouse/children were buried, even if not in the same grave.

It could be - not a helpful answer, I know. There is no central register that covers burials/cremations, only registers of events at a particular burial ground or crematorium. These registers may be at the archives - burial registers for churches are the most likely to be there. If there was a burial at a local authority cemetery the present local authority may well have the records, though some older ones may be at the archives. Also archives may have newspapers of the day, which could answer the question, either in an announcement in the deaths column or even a report of the funeral.

As you've posted on the Staffordshire board, I presume the deaths were in Staffordshire.
A good website for searching for MIs (inscriptions) is Wishful Thinking (many compiled by RootsChatter Alf)
http://www.wishful-thinking.org.uk/search_form.html

There are local papers on film at the William Salt Library at Stafford for the county; Stoke Archives has some for the north of the county & I expect Lichfield has some for that area.
GENUKI has information about Staffordshire cemeteries, including a list of some with records at Staffprd archives at
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/#Cemeteries
Other records may be remain in the area - eg for Stoke cemeteries

Hello Peter,
There is a National Burial Register, issued on a CD set by the BMSGH - Birmingham & Midland Society for Genealogy & Heraldry.

Hi HHeapet
Thanks for the info, that was great, there was a mention a few years ago regarding she had moved to the Trentham area, but Enid came as a surprise I thought that she would have lived at home being single, when I'm in Hanley I will have a look as to where no1 Tontine Street is,and the same with Newcastle Cemetery.
Thanks again
Peter
