1871 and 1861 lookup - George Mills
« on: Wednesday 20 August 08 12:27 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

Could sks please do a lookup for me for GEORGE MILLS Born 1848/9 in Reading Berkshire.
I know that he married in Jun Qtr 1872 to Margaret Baker in Greenwich, and their first child Elizabeth was born in Mar Qtr 1872 in Dartford, Kent.  In the 1881 census he is shown to be a Ship fender maker. After the birth of their first child, they went on to have Walter George in 1879 Dartford, Margaret Ann in 1881 in Greenwich and Eliza in 1889 in Greenwich.  George died in 1889 in Greenwich at the age of about 41 years.

Kind regards
Jackie

Hi there,

Thank you for looking. Is his occupation "Carman"?  What would that be?

Regards
Jackie
