Been using FTM 2008 since Jan with no problems what so ever and then an update box came up on Monday. Usually I completely ignore update invites but thought it's been a while so must be something I need. However, something came up and the cancel button was touched. Now the tree won't open at all saying an error has occurred and it has to close ( I've sent several reports to Microsoft) - tried the copy saved in my documents (image files open but no tree). The tree has been saved onto a seperate external harddrive. However thinking that we may have to uninstall and re=install it the panic really sets in we can't find the box or more importantly the disc anywhere in the house. Help - I've done loads of work on it this year and want to cry at the thought of not being able to retrieve it.
Esther - by the way I'm a bit of a techno-phob so please be gentle with me on any technical advice.
