Census Lookup - Henry Martin - COMPLETED

Hello

I am trying to find the Census records for Henry Martin, born in Leicester, Leicestershire about 1829.  I have him on the 1861-1891 census' living in Hinckley and married to Eliza (Roberts in 1857) and having one child Eliza Martin born abt 1854.

However i cannot find him on either the 1851 or 1841 records!  Can anybody help?

Unfortunately that does not appear to be him as he is twice as old!

The Henry Martin i am looking for was born in 1829.

Oh i should have read further - i was looking at the father not the son!

Sorry - that could be him.

I will look into it - if only i could find a baptism or christening record!

This could be a better match for why Henry was not with his family in the 1841 census - he was a patient in the Infirmary.....(i hope this means hospital rather than mad house!)

Also i cannot find him on the 1901 Census, although i believe he died in DecQ1918 in Hinckley - can anyone help with that one?

The Street on that Census return was TRINITY Street.
And the Occupation of Jane was Seamier.

No Henry was a Patient in the Infirmary
Aged. 13. Frame Work Knitter.

The Asylum records begin page 23 through to 28.

Yes, that sounds probably more like your Henry on 1841 census.

On 1901 Census, don't know if this is your chappie. (indexed as Henry Marton)
