On a marriage OPR 1703 I have a James Mochrie described as an indweller of Newtown and a Janet Meikle daughter of Hendrie Meikle , followed by  a word that looks like Hadequel, both in the parish of Abercorn.
Can anyone tell me
1 What is an indweller,?
2 where was/is Newtown ?
and
 3 What or where is Hadequel. ?
I am completely stumped about the last one so am hoping a rootschatter can help.

An indweller simply means someone who is living at a place.
Newton can be seen if you Google 'Old Maps' and enter  309300  677700 in the coordinates search box. Hadequel may be Woodcockdale ?  To see the latter, Google 'Get a map' and click 'I want to get-a-map now' (on the right of the page).  Enter the postcode EH49 6QE in the search box and you will see Woodcockdale on the top right.

I read that as Janet's father Hendrie Meikle was residing in Hadequel  or ADDIEWELL on the south side of Linlithgowshire (West Lothian, later) and that Janet perhaps moved from there to work in Newton in Abercorn Parish and married there.
