CARROLL, St.Pauls, Bedford

Hello, I am trying to find info on a Sarah CARROLL born in about 1856/7 to William in Bedford, possibly the St. Pauls area.  I cannot find any birth record in the BMDs, nor can I find her in the 1871 Census. Does anyone have access to the 1861 Census for Bedford to see if this family can be located?  Or perhaps the 1851 Census to see if William can be found? Does anyone have access to the parish records for this area to see if Sarah's birth is registered?  Any help would be most appreciated.  Many thanks - Brian

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the two replies.  Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been away.  You are right in that Sarah Carroll married John Cartwright in 1878 - I have info on John and Sarah's life post 1878 and info on John's life pre 1878.  What I don't have is info on Sarah's life pre 1878.
Perhaps it will remain a blank!!

William CARROLL married Martha GILLHAM on the 1st Aug 1847 at St Paul's, Bedford...they are on the 1881 census in Stafordshire [Martha is listed as being born there not Huntingdonshire] ...son, Edwin is with them aged 30 and a daughter called selina [27] another son, George [19] and a grandson...etc
