I am looking for information about my husbands family LEES  His grandfather Donald Lees was born abt 1928 and married Gladys, they lived in the Rhymney / Pontlottyn Area  Donalds mothers maiden name was Davies and that is all the information we have about him.  We would like to know when Donald & Gladys married and who Donalds parents were.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jackie,

This looks like Donald's birth registration:

Donald Lees
Mar 1928
Mother's Maiden Name Davies
Bedwelty 11a 228

If you order the certificate, it will reveal his parents' names.

Any idea when Donald's oldest child was born?  :)

Might this be his death reg

Donald lees
born 29 jan 1928
death reg Apr 1985
age 57
Mertyr Tydfil district
27 10

do you know the y.o.b. of Donald and Gladys eldest child ?

That would help narrow the search for a marriage, as marriage regs have to be searched quarter by quarter year by year for that period of time and can prove to be quite a lenghty process

please remember not to post the names of anyone living

Possible siblings for Donald:

Harriet M Lees Sep 1919 Bedwelty
Mary Lees Sep 1922 Bedwelty
Arthur Lees Jun 1924 Bedwelty

There's a possible marriage:

Arthur Lees - Elizabeth Davies
Jun 1915 Bedwelty 11a 179

but you need Donald's birth cert to confirm ...
