I have pretty well run out of lines of inquiry. I have still got two requests out that have not yet been answered but I don't hold out much hope.

I have, however received a warning about trying to find out about great great grandma Mary Brand and that is I may discover that I am a close relative of either Russell or Jo. Should that happen it might be kinder of you not to tell me ::)

I am not sure if this help you at all, but there are some Brands from around Ely in Wentworth in the late 1700's. This is where I have traced mine too before one branch moved to Bottisham.

I am new to Rootschat and found this STANDEN discussion.
William and Leonora STANDEN are my gt. gt. grandparents and I have been researching them since I inherited William's Christening mug and some of his lustres many years ago.
Leonora's parentage is an enigma. I'd love to see her picture.
What I have is on my website. Am I allowed to give the address.

Welcome to Rootschat!

Yes, you can give your website address - you can also modify your profile and add it there too

Moghouse hasn't been on Rootschat in over a month. Post three messages quickly and you'll be able to send him a personal message, as he was the one with the photo of the formidable Leonora!

Have you got the marriage cert of William Standen and Leonora Penelope Randolph? That will give you her father's name. In censuses she gave her birthplace as Bath

Sorry, I have not been about for several months due to poor health. If Lustremounter would care to send me an e-mail address I will send a copy of Leonora's picture (You will not be disappointed!).
I do not have much information about her as she is "on the edge" of my tree and I have not got around to extending in that direction yet. I am wracking my memory (which is pretty poor these days) I seem to remember that I have seen details of her family on a web site and certainly I can put you in touch with the family member who sent me her photo.
