I have part of the Royal Navy service record for John William Berry, b. 25 Nov 1872 in Landport, Hants, if anyone is interested. 

I downloaded another record from the NA site, and Mr Berry's is on the same page.  The record I have covers the first part of his service as officer rank (1904-1918), there is another record on the NA site covering his service prior to promotion.
