Inspired by MarkyP and daval57, I thought it may be a good idea to list WW1 medals currently for sale on Ebay.

I only intend adding items where family name is identified.  I'll try not to miss any.

What a mammoth task Fek!

I've viewed them all but unfortunately I am no nearer tracing the medals including the Military Medal of my Uncle William Emmerson Metcalfe - 12/11136 of the Northumberland Fusiliers.
I suspect perhaps his son's widow,with whom I have lost touch, has it.

You have to be careful when buying medals etc, on EBay or such other sites,   It is quite easy to have replicas made and names addred for authenticity.

I am not saying these are, but to be careful.
