I am John Leaning. I was in an air raid shelter at the bottom of 64 Weelsby Rd when the bomb dropped on 11 Park Avenue. There is a fence between the 64 Weelsby Rd and 11 Park Avenue. 64 Weelsby Rd was the home of my mothers parents. The bombs dropped on 11 and 13 Park Avenue. I was very young at the time but it must have impressed me substantially as I can remember my father and grandfather returning to the shelter after the bomb and saying that it was not our house 64 Weelsby Rd that had been bombed. This was true, but the explosion caused some damage to the roof of 64 Weelsby Rd. I still have a photo of the damage. My father Norman William Leaning's parents lived in 65 Park Avenue.
