1861 or 1871 look up please - COMPLETED

I'm having difficulty tracing backwards from Daniel Barraclough

He is on the 1881 census with father Jonas (aged 55) and mother Sara Ann (aged 45) at Moor Royd Thurlstone.
I want to find Sarah Ann's maiden name but can't find Daniel's birth certificate anywhere. (he was born in Thurlstone abt 1867)

On the 1881 census Daniel has a sister Esther so I sent for a birth certificate, unfortunately this shows her parents as George Barraclough and mother as Sarah Ann maiden name Dyson. Although the address looks like Moor Royd in Thurlstone
Strangely enough there is a grandson named Dyson on the 1881 census with Jonas and Sara Ann.

I wondered if some more information from the 1861 or 1871 census for some of these people (not Daniel in 1861) would help me
Or is the fathers name on the birth certificate just wrong

Can you see another Esther about the same age with a father of George?.

I have also seen the surname as Barrowclough (as on the 1881 census)

No sorry I cant find another in Thurlstone...Yours is the only family in Thurlstone....Amazed how common the name is though...Tried to fiind marriage and the number of Jonas Barracloughs incredible...would have thought with a name like Jonas u should be right but not so.....Cant find one marrying Sarah Ann Dyson which it does look like the ladys name is........I wonder if he may have been Jonas George or George Jonas...Seems Locical when u have mother of Esther as Sarah Ann Dyson the we find Jonas and family have Martha Dyson Barraclough...Surely there cant be that many coincidences...All the Best....Kris
