William Thomas Footer (1860)

I have the above named family member, born in Australia - married in 1881 to Hannah Stiggants, and am trying to find his parents - or at the very least his father - possibly an Australian Emigrant in the late 1850s - maybe also called William, or James?

Any help gratefully received.

Do you have any idea what state in OZ he may have been born ?
Also this marriage to Hannah Stiggants - was that in Australia also,  or elsewhere.

only marriage  that  I  can  find at  the moment is in SA

 FOOTER William Thomas aged 24 father William Thomas Footer
married 14/5/1905
Hannah Herbert aged20 father William Herbert

possible his son's marriage?

Bride: STIGGANTS Hannah aged 17  father Jasper Stiggants

HI all, thanks for the input.

Not sure where in Aus William was born. Sorry Craizi Daizi

Marriage to Hannah Stiggants was 23.03.1881 in Adelaide is correct one - no idea why under Foster (another mistransciption?).

Other marriage - 1905 to Hannah Herbert was this William Thomas's son. Thanks Jenn - so father was James - any further info on him?

All the FOOTER entries in the South Australian BDM's appear to be William Thomas and Hannah and their 13 children.... There is no death reg for a James FOOTER so I am guessing that only William Thos emigrated to SA. 

There is no information on FOOTER in the Biographical Index of South Australians 1836-1885.

If you like I could pm you all the FOOTER registrations - with the exception of those that Jenn has given you.

There are only 13 FOOTER listings in the white pages in SA
http://www.whitepages.com.au/wp/initResSearch.do   
Perhaps a letter or two may find you a living descendant or more family information.
