i am needing information on a margaret colman who married joseph hindmarch in 1848 at tynemouth. margaret says on census born alnwick  northumberland about 1829. for 1861 and 1871 census.  her father james  colman states on marriage certificate says he was a whitesmith. can not find them for 1841 cenus in durham or nothumberland. any info on margaret and james 1841 and back would be great , no info on igi.

Hello Fernvic

Just linking this to your other post on the same subject

I found a baptism in the Alnwick Bishops' Transcripts

17th March 1830  Margaret dau. of James and Letitia Coleman, Pottergate, father's occupation Tinman

Still looking in 1841 census, but there is a death on free bmd for a James Coleman   Jun Qu 1839 Gateshead    24   75

Do you have Margaret & Joseph in 1851 as you only mention 1861 & 1871 census?

Kind regards, Barbara  :)

thanks barbara, for the information, i will try the bishops transcipts. joseph hindmarch and margaret were married in 1848, have not got the 1851 census. 1851 was not on dro for gateshead where they lived at the time.  james colman is on a 1861 census for stockton wife mary but i do not know if this is his 2nd wife or not, as you know on the marriage cert. only fathers name. thankyou for your time barbara, will look at the transcripts.

Hi Linda,

Not uncommon for mistakes with birthplaces and other things on census!

Glad to help,

Barbara  :)
