Reynolds of burncross/chapeltown sheffield

hi,looking for information on Joseph Reynolds who moved from Bedfordshire in 1880 approx and lived on Burncross road he was married to an Elizabeth in 1891 census but in 1901 had remarried to an hannah?! He had 3 sons,james,samuel and my g grandad joseph william Reynolds. im also seeking information on joseph william he married Dora everitt in chapeltown in 1909.

Its possible that Joseph did not remarry at all as there is a marriage to Hannah Elizabeth Crossland in 1881-Wortley/Yorkshire so it could just be a case of using Hannah on one cencus and Elizabeth on another it was not unusual for this to happen.

These are 2 possible children for Joseph and Dora

hi jane,thank you so much for the info,walter was my grandfather,me nor any of my family have much info on joseph william,but Dora died in 1918 she  was only 28,sadly my grandad never had much to do with joseph after her death,he was raised by a Platts ?? family in catcliffe,his older  brother who we also never knew much about is rumoured to have drowned at a young age in a canal,its made it very difficult to piece together my Reynolds line and ive no access to the census  records so if you could help me further that would be great. regards shane

I cant tell you anything about your family after the 1901 cencus..the next cencus is due out in 1911 and beleive me there are thousands of us who cant wait for it!!!

I can post you the details of the cencus ref I gave you earlier regarding Hannah Crossland and I can see if I can find Joseph Snr family for you if you would like.
