Caversham look up, please
« on: Monday 22 September 08 01:20 BST (UK) »
Hoping someone will be kind enough to check Caversham PRs for me.

I'm looking for a Maria, born c1813-1820 in Caversham.  She married Richard Hibbert (who may be recorded as John Richard), possibly in Caversham.  According to census records, their eldest child was born c1835 but the dates are inconsistent all round.  The name Hibbert appears in many variations too!

I'd be glad to find out Maria's maiden name and the date of the marriage, to complete the records of this family.  Also if they had any children baptised in Caversham before 1839.

Anne,

Have you answered Cats Ears query by PM? I have Caversham PRs (Oxon FHS CD) but obviously don't want to duplicate.

Yes I have Jill. A bit worried about copyright following the recent thread!

OH! I haven't read that - I thought we'd established that - with PRs at least, as long as we give a mention to who we'd obtained them from, it was okay?

I'm sure you're right, just feeling a bit cautious today I think. I expect I'll revert to my previous practice quite quickly.

Thank you both, Jill and Anne.  I'd just about given up on this one.

Anne has found the entries I was after.  Ends tied up nicely now!
