Bryn Coch Hall, Mold
« on: Monday 22 September 08 08:03 BST (UK) »
I have found a printed Christmas card and other photo's etc. from Bryn Coch Hall, Mold sent to my late great aunt. Could anyone give me information of the family that lived at the hall in the 50's, 60's and 70's. The photo in the card is of a very well dressed family, Father, Mother and Daughter.

Hi,
According to the phone book entry on A*******, in 1967 Bryn Coch Hall, Mold,  was inhabited by Sir John M Brocklebank.
If you look on google books there is a snippet associating him with that address.
He appears to work in banking. So i imagine he was fairly well off !
Hope this may help

Thank you so much. This is the person as the article refers to their 'squirt' and is signed from us three and Aubrey. I would imagine he was the baby my aunt delivered. I very much appreciate your reply.

Hi,

I found your post whilst lookng for information on my grandfather who I never met.
In response to your post:

My Father, The Current Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, was born there in Bryn Coch Hall.
My Grandfather was Sir John M Brocklebank and my Grandmother Pamela Lady Brocklebank.

I am curious that you said it was signed by three people - and Aubrey - I do not knw who the third would be?

Do you have photos of them?

My Grandfather was in shipping - Chairman of Cunard - not banking. Though his brother was chaiman of Midland Bank.
My dad is currently in finance - and I am sadly also working at a private bank.

They moved to Malta after living in Bryn Coch Hall.

If there is anything else you would like to know jsut ask...

Aubrey Brocklebank esq. (the younger!)

My great great uncle Richard Hughes, born in Gronant, who was a shipowner in Liverpool, lived at Bryn Coch Hall in, I think, the 20s and 30s. It is given as his home on his memorial in Everton Cemetery, Liverpool, but I think he had already lost it by the time of his death due to financial difficulties.

Jones in Holywell, Flintshire
Kelly in St Asaph, Flintshire
Clark in Salisbury, Wiltshire
Waghorn/e in Robertsbridge, Sussex
Banting in Upper Clatford/Andover

Hi, I can tell you that the Roe family lived there in the late 70s and (at least) early 80s.
Family was John Roe, a wife whose name I don't remember, and one child Damon (a were at school together for a few years).
Used the throw great parties round the pool for Damon's birthday.
