Does anyone have any information re Glenmaquin and what it was like in the 1800s?
I ahve ancestors who came from this region and migrated to Australia in 1863 and would love to know what it was like then.

Glenmaquin is a small townland just outside Letterkenny. I think many of the families living there would be descendants of the families in 1800.

Black's Letterkenny to Scotland. Mc Elchar's, Meehan's, Brownes, Ponsonby's Mc Glinchey's (all from Ireland).
