This series had a repeated programme last night for Dana (Eurovision winner - remember?) Scallon.

The link is here  for 6 days only BUT viewing may be restricted to the island of Ireland only (North & South)- try and see.

There are websites/software that may get around this if you look on Google, but you may infringe copyright if you use them.

Dana    http://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1053124.

This Irish WDYTYA series has a webpage which has lots of details-links etc that were used in the making of the series that is well worth a look.

ALSO whilst the webpage above says that the programmes are no longer viewable you might want to try the links below - again they may only be viewable on the island of Ireland.

I suspect you will need to have Realplayer V11 installed for them - its free - just google it.

thanks pete... I shall look for the work- around,   ;)

I only managed to see 2 of the episodes last time before RTE woke up and restricted the viewing to Ireland only

We'd quite like access to BBC's Iplayer too!
There'll be a new series in Autumn.  The only participant I know of is Ryan Tubridy, who is a tv and radio host.

Unfortunately, I've lost a lot of respect for this franchise since the BBC version dropped the Michael Parkinson edition.

They spent 6 months researching his family tree and decided not to air the show because all his ancestors were 'only' miners and labourers! Nothing 'sensational' was found.

What a lost opportunity to tell the story of the vast majority of all our ancestors.

Dara.

That's dreadful - I hadn't heard about that.  Is there anywhere online I can read about it?
I suppose at the end of the day, they are about entertaining rather than pure genealogy.
