Request - SIMS / SIMMS / SYMS in 1851 Census
« on: Wednesday 24 September 08 10:43 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Would someone be kind enough to look up a Thomas SIMS / SIMMS / SYMS / SYMES in the 1851 census please?

I have found a death record for him in 1853, in the New Forest, and I expect that he was born around 1770. Either born in Milford or living in Milford / Lymington area. He married Betty Oram in Milford in 1791.

Sorry its a bit vague, but I'm hoping to get some more detail from the census.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi Wozzle,

Thanks a lot for looking - that must have taken you ages to have found that one. Sorry my details were so vague.

I'm not quite sure if it is the right one or not... The birth place of Hale is interesting, and it is quite a fair trip from Milford to Lyndhurst, but would fit in with the death record in the New Forest.

I will try to find a connection between the Simms and Parrots. You never know.

Thanks again.
