Eliza Harris born c1814, Tunbridge, Kent

This is my first attempt at using Rootschat, so I hope that I am lucky!

I am trying to get any information on my gg grandmother who from the 1861 census appears to have been born in Tunbridge, Kent around 1814. Ideally, I would like to know the precise address at birth, the parents names and any siblings.

If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.

Wow!! I certainly did not expect such a speedy response. Thanks a lot.

Eliza Harris married my gg grandfather Edward Leigh Pearson on the 20th Jan 1834 at St John the Baptist Church, Coventry, Warks. How she got from Tunbridge to Coventry is a mystery. I have a lot on the Pearsons but nothing on the Harris side. Also a puzzle is that 3 of their grandchildren were born at a Hereford address, 9 Park Street, where the occupants at Census were named Harris. Thus my reason for wanting to know any siblings, as I feel that there must be a connection to Eliza.

Just had a look on here http://www.familysearch.org a great site for pre 1837 records

There is a Pedigree file for your Pearson family in which your gggrandmother is mentioned along with some address's where she lived with you ggrandfather throughout their lives.

It seems you have a relative   David PEARSON
Sydney Australia  who is researching the Pearson  line, may well be worth a contact

If the above person is correct  your GGGrandparents were living here in 1853

Yes that is my Eliza. As I mentioned previously, 'I have a lot on the Pearsons but nothing on the Harris side.' David and I have been corresponding for years and in fact only recently, my Wife and I met with him and is family, in Kent. It is the Harris side that I have very little information.

Do you have Eliza & Edward in all the census..If not I have found them &will post them for you should you need them.

Next you say that there were grandchildren born at an address with other Harris family members could you  post those details please they may help.

Also do you have any of her siblings names that may help connect her to parents ?

Thanks for your interest in my problem. The only census info.I am missing is for 1851. I use Find My Past and they have not yet finalised 1851.

The grandchildren born at 9 Park Street, Hereford were:
Maude Louisa Pearson 1874
Arthur Leigh Weston Pearson 1875
Frederick Charles Pearson 1877

I have none of Eliza's siblings.
