Earldoms Extra-Parochial
« on: Tuesday 07 October 08 10:25 BST (UK) »
Can you help prevent me looking in the wrong place?!

I have ancestors born in "Earldoms", a small extra-parochial area between Landford (to the south) and Whiteparish (to the north), which was later absorbed by Landford.  I have looked over old maps and cannot see that Earldoms had either a church of it's own, nor chapel of ease.  Which church is more likely to hold records of Earldoms residents' births, marriages and deaths - Whiteparish or Landford???

Any help much appreciated!

Rachel

People who lived in an extra-parochial area went to whichever church was nearest or which they preferred.  Not much help, sorry.  Maybe try both.
