Yates 70 Keary St Stoke Upon Trent

Can you please assist.  My Grandfather Samuel Joseph Yates from Stoke Upon Trent (I have not been able to locate his birth in 1884) married a Mary Oakley from Athlone, County Roscommon in Southern Ireland and migrated to Canada in 1925 with their four children:
Maureen Teresa 9, Eileen Frances 8, Henrietta Josephine 6, Patrick Samuel (my father).  The address of the contact person was Samuel Joseph's mother a Mrs Yates at 70 Keary Street, Stoke Upon Trent.  The family lived at 4 Clifton street Hanley for at least 4 years prior to leaving for Canada.  I am unable to trace the full name of Mrs Yates and therefore trace up the family tree.  Although I have managed to find Mary Oakley's family in Athlone I have not been able to trace forward to the birth registrations of any of the girls.  Dublin was given the place of registration.

 It is probably a coincidence but on the 1901 census  Ref. RG13/2609  23/37 there is the following family resident at no. 72, Keary Street, Stoke upon Trent.

Elizabeth Braken  head m 55 Gen. Grocer/Shopkeeper Staffs. Longton
Rachael    Yates    dau   s  24                                             "       "
Herbert       "         son        17 Coal Carter                        "       "
Jack Downing       lodger  s 17  Groom domestic                "    Stoke on Trent
Reginald Yates     Grandson  1                                           "      Longton.

The same family seems to appear on the 1891 census, Elizabeth a widow at 45, with more children including a Samuel aged 8, living at High street, Longton.

Do you have the shipping records for Samuel, Mary and children, they are available?

Perhaps something to go on although wrong no. house, could Mrs Yates be another relative or is it definately his mother?
There is an entry for a Reginald Yates in WW1 Pension records giving next of kin as Elizabeth Yates, mother, 23, Meir? Lane , Longton.

Closest relative:

Mother In Law of 14
Grandmother of 15,16,17,18.
I did come accross the name of Elizabeth but was not sure if it was her but it could be as it looks as if the Mrs Yates must have been a widow too.

You have most of the details. On passenger lists leaving UK extra details are
 Date of Departure 20 March 1925
Passenger destination ..Halifax, Canada.
Auriana Cunard 147277 bound New York, USA from Liverpool. Mary ,Samuel and 4 children on list.

Last address in UK - The Ranse(?), Newcastle on Trent(?) , Staffs.
