Hi John,
Ah yes, that makes far more sense than anything I was coming up with.
I have seen the two links last night and I must admit to being quite upset by the blogspot one. I have spent a lot of time looking into my ancestor Isaac, he is my 4xG grandfather and I have his name. He played a significant role in the development of machine made lace and hosiery in England and France and he knew many famous and influential people of the industrial revolution. Isn't it typical of the modern world that the last resting place of so many people should be treated so casually. The suggestion of official corruption with regard to the re-development of the site combined with the discovery of bodies that had not been moved, found in 1999, does not surprise me. It just adds to my cynicism about the 'modern'world.
The cemetery.co.com link FAQ's puzzle me as the questions are there, but where are the answers? I have email'd to ask if they know where his body is now but my guess that, if it was moved, it would have been dumped into some mass grave with thousands of others.
I wonder if anyone knows of any photographs of the Odd Fellows burial ground before it was built on?
Any idea what the word at the bottom left is, before the date?
Thanks for your help - Framesmiths1816
