Strange how they are so difficult to find on the 1891.  Virtually the same family on the 81, checked all of Brithdir on 91 [where son Olwen was born 1897] but no sign of them ??? ???

I wonder where they were on the 71?

Many thanks
Roy

This looks like Walter in 1871 - the only one anyway  :D

1871 RG10; Piece: 5586; Folio: 77; Page: 17

Prince of Wales Inn Prisk Llangattock (Beaufort)

Joseph Price 40 yrs Innkeeper
Margaret 35 yrs
John 16 yrs coal miner
Walter 14 yrs
Joseph 12 yrs
William 7yrs
Albert 3 yrs
all born Beaufort except Margaret and I can't read that -sorry! Has been transcribed as Brymnowv.

1861 RG9; Piece: 4218; Folio: 71; Page: 8
has Margaret born Aberystruth - same children except that there is a William 4 months who presumably dies and next child is named William too.

Hi Heywood
I think you have the right Walter, I noted he was living next door to the Prince of Wales on the 1881, so it makes sense.
