Jane Dunn c1791 1851 censusCOMPLETE
« on: Tuesday 14 October 08 10:46 BST (UK) »
Hello All

I am looking for Jane Dunn born about c1791 in yorkshire in the 1851 census, not sure of her husbands name or even if he was still alive.  She was in Yarm in the 1841 census with her daughter and son in law with their children.

Thankyou

Hi Karen,

Can't see her in 1851 and she's not with her daughter in Yarm
On 1841 census it stated she was infirm so maybe died by 1851
Have you checked deaths?

Hi Karen,
I have a Jane Dunn (not the same one as yours though) - I just wanted to let you know that mine was in the PR's as Jane Dann - not sure if this is always interchangable, but may help if you try Dann too.

Hi Ruskie,

good advice  :)

Karen, it looks as if she may have been unmarried although I know you shouldn't jump to conclusions!

IGI has baptisms at Yarm for Rachel Dunn 1 Jan 1812 mother Jane Dunn, and there's also one for John Dunn 9 Oct 1807 mother Jane Dunn - no mention of father

Also a baptism at Yarm for Jane Dunn 8 April 1792  parents Thomas & Elizabeth

Thankyou Ruskie and Barbara for your replies, she wouldnt be the first single mother in my family tree, seems my family tree is a magnet to single mothers.
