Had to log in to say what a great idea.  I've looked at Jessop's website and it looks as though you need to download a program or something.  I'll check it out again tomorrow.

Gosh, that looks fantastic.

I'd love to know more about the Jessops site and how it was all done.

Anyone have a link or further info please?

Hi Sara,

I was looking for something different to give my mum on her 80th birthday in December and I think I've just found it  :) I had seen photobooks before but the way that you have added so much family information as well is wonderful...didn't know you could do that. Thank you

That is just beautiful. I know there are several sites that do this and I have thought to do it for trips or events, but not family history. What a wonderful keepsake. I will have to look into this.

The problem for me becomes organizing. How did you decide which branches, or did you put all branches?

wow thats brilliant
i wish i could do something like that
mine i just printed out the generational list  i had done filled in extra info about each person if i had found any not only census reports but other stuff like the war papers which had their descriptions, shipping lists, newspaper reports - i don't have photos of them and i bound it with a ring binder, i also lamenated the first page  but its nowhere near as good as yours .

Yes, you have to download a programme onto your computer, then you design the whole thing on your computer, you can add backgrounds, they have loads to choose from or put your own photos as backgrounds.

You can enter as much text as you like and i scanned in loads of documents, photos of medals etc, so even if you had not many photos you could still write and put in docvs etc.

when you have completed it you then just click order in the programme and it automatically sends it to the company, they then print it and bind it and post it to you - AMAZING!!!!!

I'd love to see any more examples when you have done some ;D
