Diocese of Ossory, Leinster Province Ireland
« on: Saturday 18 October 08 00:15 BST (UK) »
Hello All

Might seem like a silly question but where would I start looking for the above captioned place for information.  I know I'm a little geography thick but don't know the area's of Ireland that well being in Canada.

Thanks

hi zippy and welcome to rootschat :)

the diocese of ossory covers most of county kilkenny and parts of counties laois and offaly. they have their own website;

http://www.ossory.ie/

there is a map on the site showing the area that the diocese covers. hope this helps,

try this site, it will help you understand the many ways that sections of land can be grouped together under different titles.

i'm sure there are better sources but this will give the basics of it
