In 1826 (IGI) William AKERS married Judith SURRY. On the 1841 census for Bradwell:

James Akers 12
Robert Akers 2
No sign of William, but he may have been at sea.

Henry Collins, head, mar, 66, Ag Lab, b. Wakering, Essex
Elizabeth Collins, wife, mar, 62, b. Tollesbury, Essex
Jane Polley, gd dau, 14, b. Harwich, Essex
Robert Akers, nephew, 12, b. Bradwell, Essex**

I have established that Robert Akers was the nephew of Elizabeth (Surry) Collins. I can see no sign of Judith or William on the 1851 census. Aside from trying to trace this Akers family's roots, my main objective is to confirm that Judith Surry and Elizabeth Surry were sisters, and that they were both daughters of Robert and Rebecca Surry of Tollesbury. Robert was a coastguardsman.
