ashcroft family please

hello can anyone help in tracing the marriage or birth of the follwing family, they are james and hannah ashcroft, james was born in wigan ireland and hannah was born in little bank ireland, in the 1871 uk census he was 59 years old and hannah was 51 years old and they have two children william 19 and alice 13, i know that they lived in durham both father and son were miners,     thank you

There are a couple of marriages showing on freebmd that are worth considering.

The first is Dec Qtr 1837 Wigan
James Ashcroft and (on the same page)  Hannah CRAWFORD Vol 21 Page 457

The other is Jun Qtr 1840
James Ashcroft and (on same page) Hannah JENKINS
Vol 20  Page 209

I only suggest Liverpool because, if Hannah is from Little Bank Ireland (wherever that is), then she may have entered England via Liverpool.

The way freebmd works is it shows you all the names on the particular page, but you can;t know for sure whether it is the marriage you want.  However, as you are looking for a Hannah this is a start.
